How To Make Aloo Chokha
Step 1. Start by taking 2 medium-sized potatoes. Boil them in a pot, cover them with water, and add a pinch of salt. Bring the water to a boil and cook until the potatoes are tender, which usually takes about 15-20 minutes.
Step 2. Once they are cooled down, peel them, and using a fork or a potato masher, mash the potatoes coarsely. Place the mashed potatoes in a large bowl.
Step 3. To the mashed potatoes, add finely chopped onion, chopped green chilies, chopped garlic, coriander leaves. Drizzle in 1-2 tablespoons of mustard oil and the juice of half a lemon for flavour.
Step 4. Mix everything thoroughly to ensure the spices are evenly distributed throughout the mashed potatoes. Taste the mixture and adjust the spices accordingly.
Step 5. Serve your Aloo Chokha with hot rice.
