Turmeric Tea To Boost Brain Health
Turmeric has a component, curcumin which acts as a protective agent for your body. It supports better memory, focus, and cognition by increasing the growth of new neurons and fighting various degenerative processes in the brain.
How To Make It
Ingredients
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- Pinch of clove
- Pinch of nutmeg
- Pinch of fresh ground black pepper
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1-2 cups of water
- Raw honey to sweeten
- Milk
Instructions
- Boil water in your kettle and add to blender.
- Add in spices and blend until smooth and unified in colour.
- Strain out tea and add milk and honey.
Miso Soup To Boost The Immunity
Miso made from fermented soybeans contains all essential amino acids that our body needs. It contains good bacteria for a healthy gut and when our inner ecosystem is healthy, then our immune system also gets healthy.
How To Make It
Ingredients
- 4 cups of water
- ½ cup chopped green chard
- ½ cup chopped green onion
- ¼ cup firm tofu
- 3-4 tbsp white miso paste
- 1 sheet nori (dried seaweed)
Instructions
- Place water in a medium saucepan and bring to a low simmer.
- Add nori and simmer for 5-7 minutes.
- Place miso into a small bowl and add a little hot water and whisk until smooth. This will ensure it doesn’t clump. Set aside.
- Add green chard, green onion, and tofu to the pot and cook for 5 minutes. The remove from heat, add miso mixture and stir continuously.
- Taste and add more miso or salt if desired.
Beetroot Juice For Healthy Heart
With a mellow, earthy taste beetroot is rich in magnesium, calcium, and iron. It is rich in antioxidant ‘betaine’, which has anti-inflammatory properties and keeps cholesterol levels in control. So drink a glass of this juice daily to keep heart problems at bay!
How To Make It
Ingredients
- 2 beetroots medium size
- ½ tsp sugar
- 4-5 mint leaves
- 1 small piece of ginger
Instructions
- Add beetroot pieces, sugar, mint leaves, and ginger into a blending jar.
- Add 1 cup of water. Blend it until the mixtures get smooth.
- Strain out the juice in a glass and enjoy!
