Ingredients

  • 4 cups diced bread pieces
  • 1 cup boiled peas
  • 1/2 cup roasted peanuts
  • 1 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/8 tsp asafoetida
  • 10-15 curry leaves
  • 2-3 whole red chillies
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp chopped green chillies
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  • Grated coconut(optional)
  • Lemon wedges
  • Oil for cooking

Step

  • Step 1 :

    In a kadai, add oil. Add mustard seeds, asafoetida and curry leaves.

  • Step 2 :

    Next add whole red chillies. When mustard seeds splutter, add peanuts and turmeric.

  • Step 3 :

    Add diced bread pieces and salt. Mix well.

  • Step 4 :

    Now add some water and mix all the ingredients well.

  • Step 5 :

    Take off flame and add lemon juice. Also, add coriander.

  • Step 6 :

    Transfer to a plate and garnish with coriander, lemon and coconut.
