Idlis are discs of love when dipped in that yum coconut chutney and sambar. We have them for breakfast or lunch and even dinner. It is not a South Indian dish anymore... it has become a fav of North Indians as well. This time we thought why not spruce things up and making something different with idlis? So we came up with this really yum and easy recipe of chilli idlis. Let's try today!
Chilli Idli
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp oil
- 6 idlis
- 2 tbsp chopped ginger and garlic
- Chopped green chillies as per taste
- 1/4 cup diced onions
- 1/4 cup diced yellow & green bell peppers
- 1 cup water
- Salt to taste
- 1/4 cup soya sauce
- 1 tbsp schezwan Sauce
- 1/4 cup corn flour mixed in water

Method
- Heat some oil in a deep heavy bottomed pan and fry the idlis until they are golden brown.
- In another non-stick pan mix in the ginger, garlic, and green chillies and saute till you know that they are cooked. Ginger and garlic are amazing ingredients as they have a number of health benefits.
- Next, add the bell peppers, water, and some salt as per taste, then soya sauce and schezwan sauce.
- Now we want you to mix all the ingredients well, and then the cornflour water.
- Let it all thicken and then add fried idlis.
- Stir for a couple of mins.
- Serve with a garnishing of chopped green onions.
