Ladies, I am sure there are times when you have spent hours in the kitchen making chapatti or roti, only to have your kids or some other family member opt out of eating. You have nothing else to do, but discard off these fruits of your labour in the nearest dustbin. However, it turns out that there is a method where you can make pizza out of leftover roti for your family members and yes this yummilicious food can be given to your kids in tiffin and I am sure they won't say no to it. It is easy, quick and a healthy snack for all time.

Ingredients

  • Leftover roti
  • 3/4 tsp pizza seasoning
  • Red chilli flakes
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • Cheese spread
  • pizza pasta sauce
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp chaat masala
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Chopped onions
  • Chopped tomatoes
  • Chopped capsicum
  • Chopped olives
  • Boiled corn

Method

how to make pizza at home with leftover rotis

  • Take all chopped onions, tomatoes, capsicum, olives, and corn in one container
  • Now, add 1/2 tsp chaat masala and 1/2 tsp black pepper to the veggies. Then add 3/4 tsp pizza seasoning or Italian seasoning if needed and salt to taste and mix everything until well combined
  • Mix veg mixture is ready. Now, take leftover roti or fresh roti and put around one and a half tsp cheese spread all over it. (If you love cheese, go ahead and put more cheese on your roti pizza)
  • Now, apply around one and a half tsp pizza pasta sauce (you may buy pizza and pasta sauce from here at ₹ 60) and spread it onto the cheese spread layer
  • Spread grated mozzarella cheese on your roti pizza and now, spread the chopped veggies mixture all over

Baking Your Roti Pizza

To make pizza in an oven, grease the baking tray with the help of some olive oil and put your roti pizza on the baking tray.

Pre-heat oven for a couple of minutes. Now, bake roti pizza on 180 degree Celsius for 7-8 minutes or till cheese melts and roti pizza becomes slightly crispy.

To make pizza in a pan, take a non-stick pan and grease it with olive oil. Remember, if you don't have olive oil, you can use butter instead.

Now, put roti pizza in the pan. Cover the lid and cook it on low flame for 7-8 minutes.

Your roti pizza is ready. Now, garnish it by sprinkling some pizza seasoning on it. If you like to eat spicy food, then sprinkle some chilli flakes.

Now, take a pizza cutter and cut it into four slices and serve it.
