Mexican Sandwich
Ingredients:
- 1 medium sweet yellow pepper, chopped
- 1 medium green pepper, chopped
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- 8 slices bread
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 cup fresh salsa, well drained
- 3/4 cup shredded Mexican cheese blend
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
Directions:
- In a small pan, saute peppers in oil until tender.
- Now, spread mayonnaise on bread pieces.
- Layer the bread slices with peppers, salsa, and mozzarella cheese.
- Follow the same procedure with the other bread pieces too.
- Toast sandwiches for 2-4 minutes in a toaster.
- Serve with mayo dip or choice of sauce.
Footlong Sandwich
Ingredients:
- 1 Footlong Bread
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup Lettuce shredded
- 1/4 cup Black olives sliced
- 1/2 small Onions sliced
- 1/4 medium Red capsicum sliced
- 1 Cheese slice
- Tomato ketchup as required
Directions:
- Slice the foot long into two. Apply mustard mayonnaise on both slices.
- Place some shredded lettuce.
- Top with black olives, onions, red capsicum. Cut the cheese
- slice diagonally and then place it on top of the toppings.
- Grill or serve as it it. Serve with tomato ketchup.
Vegetable Club Sandwich
Ingredients:
- 1 Green Capsicum cut into thin strips
- 1 Carrots peeled and grated
- 1 Cabbage grated
- 2 Tomatoes sliced
- 1 Cucumber sliced
- Bread slices
- 1/4 cup Mayonnaise
- Salt to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon White pepper powder
- Pineapple cut into small pieces
- 4 tbsp Butter
- Lettuce leaves
- Cheese slices
Directions:
- In a bowl, add mayonnaise, capsicum, carrot, and cabbage to make coleslaw. Add pineapple pieces too. Season with salt and pepper.
- Take toasted bread slices and apply butter. Arrange lettuce leaves on bread slices. Add your coleslaw mix, spread evenly.
- Arrange another layer of bread slices, both sides buttered, on it. On this bread slice place the remaining
- lettuce leaves, tomato and cucumber slices, sprinkle seasoning and place cheese slices.
- Using a very sharp knife cut the edges of the sandwich and cut it diagonally. Serve with some coleslaw and potato wafers.
