For the past few days, Dalgona Coffee has been trending all over the net. It is everywhere on Tik Tok and Instagram. If you are wondering what is it exactly and why is it so special that it is trending then dear readers it is nothing but what we Indians call "pheti hui coffee" or Beaten coffee in English. It can be made easily at home but the only reason some of us shy away from it is that it is time-consuming and needs hardwork. But the result sure is worth it! It started with South Korea going crazy over it, but the true origin is unknown as in India some of have been making it since forever.
This coffee is all about incorporating air into a paste of coffee and sugar by beating it with a whisk or spoon until it becomes thick and frothy, by beating the mix with a spoon. It is all about the taste. Here is a recipe that all will enjoy making it at home.

This is one truly easy coffee that you must try making at home.
Just add all ingredients in a bowl and whisk with a spoon or a whisk. Add water only enough to make the consistency gooey. It should leave one string.
And keep whipping it till its frothy and the colour changes to what you can see in the picture above, a creamy light brown froth.
You can substitute water with milk as well. Here, while making it you will notice that at first, the mixture shows no difference. But then just a few drops a milk if added will start changing the colour.
Now keep beating it till it becomes creamy and thick.
This process can take long like around 15 minutes if you are steady with your speed. But if you are really fast with beating then 5 minutes should do. It requires a lot of muscle work do be prepared.
Once it is ready, if you like hot coffee then boil the milk while beating the mixture and if you like it cold then put a dollop or two on top of the milk.
Tip: Add the ingredients slowly by checking on the mixture consistency. Also, you can make a big batch and store in the fridge and use a dollop everyday.
