Nepalese cuisine is filled with delicious delicacies that are often forgotten. These tasty recipes usually do not get the spotlight that they deserve. Traditional dishes that have been passed down from generation to generation make up the cuisine of Nepal. Nepalese cuisine is mouthwatering because they use authentic spices and cooking techniques. Although there are many restaurants in India that serve Nepali food, it might be difficult to locate authentic establishments. Read on to learn about three authentic recipes from Nepal.
1. Chatamari
Chatamari is an easy to cook Nepali dish. It is quite similar to pizza and Uttapam but it is healthier. This is a great breakfast option as it is so easy to make. Here is how you can make Chatamari at home:

Take one cup of rice flour and put it in a bowl to start making Chatamari.
Next, add water to the bowl to create a thick batter.
Following that, heat up a pan and pour the batter and spread it thinly.
Finally, according to your preference, add thinly sliced pieces of some veggies, eggs, or meat.
Once it has been covered for a minute, it is ready to be served.
2. Chaku
Chaku is a traditional sweet dessert from the authentic Newari cuisine of Nepal. It is easy to make and is a perfect satisfaction for your sweet cravings.
Recipe of Chaku:
Put a pan on high heat and add a cup ofcrushed jaggeryinto it.
Cook till the jaggery has melted and formed a rich brown caramel-like texture.
Then add two tablespoons of ghee into the melted jaggery and cook it well.
Add a cup of milk to the mixture and stir till it forms a smooth liquid.
You can take it out in a bowl and add nuts, dry fruits and coconut as a garnish to enhance the taste and texture of the Chaku.
Form the Chaku in small bite-sized pieces for more convenience.

3. Yomari
Yomari is a famous dish of Nepal and it represents the Newari community. This dish is specially made during a festival of the Newari community, called Yomari Punhi. Here is how you can make Yomari:

Fill a bowl with 4 cups of rice flour and add boiling water to it to make a dough.
For making Yomari, the dough needs to be warm. So use hot water, and wrap a towel around the dough. The dough will turn cold and hard if you leave it open.
The filling of the Yomari will be “Chaku”. For a richer flavour, mix in some coconut powder.

After that, take a little piece of dough and roll it into a ball in your palm and roll the same ball so that it forms a cone-shaped structure.
Using your index finger, make a hole in the cone. Now, fill the cone with the Chaku paste and seal the edge.
Now steam each piece of Yomari till it's cooked. Now the delicious pockets of goodness are ready!
