Ingredients

  • 10-12 boneless fish pieces
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon ginger paste
  • 1 tablespoon garlic paste
  • ¼ teaspoon crushed ajwain
  • ½ teaspoon roasted cumin seeds
  • ¼ cup besan
  • ¾ tablespoon tandoori masala
  • 1/2 cup curd
  • 3 tablespoons soda water
  • oil to cook
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chaat masala.

Step

  • Step 1 :

    Begin by cleaning and washing your fish properly.

  • Step 2 :

    Slice the fish into smaller pieces. Add them in a bowl.

  • Step 3 :

    Add all your spices in the bowl and let it marinate for 10 minutes or so.

  • Step 4 :

    Then add curd and soda in it. Make sure all the fish pieces are coated well.

  • Step 5 :

    Keep it aside for 30 minutes to an hour.

  • Step 6 :

    Place a wok on the stove and add oil. Allow the oil to turn hot.

  • Step 7 :

    Once done, start adding 2-3 pieces of fish. Deep fry the fish pieces until it turns golden brown in colour.

  • Step 8 :

    Garnish with sliced onions, lemon juice, etc and your Amritsari fish is ready to serve!
