1. To make Aloo Bhaja first you need to wash and peel the potatoes and cut them into thin slices.

2. Then heat some oil in a pan over medium heat. When the oil is hot, add in the cumin seeds and fry until they splutter.

3. Add the sliced potatoes to the pan and stir them gently with a spatula.

4. Add turmeric powder, red chilli, coriander powder, and salt as per your taste to the potatoes. Mix well until all the spices are blended well into the potatoes.

5. Now add the sliced potatoes to it and let it cook until they turn golden brown and crispy. This will take about 10-15 minutes.

6. Once the potatoes are done, turn off the heat.

7. Now garnish the Aloo Bhaja with some freshly chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.

  • 5-6 thin sliced medium potatoes
  • 2-3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tbsp coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste

    First, wash and peel the potatoes and cut them into thin slices.

    Then place a medium-sized frying pan over medium heat and add some oil. Add the cumin seeds to the heated oil and let them cook until they splutter.

    Add the potato slices in the pan and give them a quick toss.

    Add after a stir add turmeric, red chilli powder, coriander powder, and salt to the potatoes. Mix well until the potatoes have absorbed all the seasonings.

    Let the sliced potatoes turn golden and crispy. This will take about 10-15 minutes.

    Turn off the heat when the potatoes are finally cooked. Before serving garnish Aloo Bhaja with freshly chopped coriander leaves.
