The movie inspired by Hamlet depicts the conflicts between India and Pakistan due to Kashmir. ‘Chandni Bar’

A film surrounded by tragedy and trauma, ‘Chandni Bar’ journeys us through the life of Mumtaz. After her family is murdered, she shifts to Mumbai to live with her uncle who forces her to dance at a bar. Later, he rapes her and leaves her traumatised. Further, she finds love in a gangster who abandons her and their children later in life.

‘Prema Desam’

The 1996 Tamil movie ‘Prema Desam’ revolves around the lives of three people - Arun. Karthik and Divya. Karthik is an orphan and the captain of his college football team who befriends the rich kid from the rival team, Arun. Their friendship goes well until Divya enters their lives whom they both fall for.
