The horror-comedy sequel ‘Stree 2’ has taken the Indian box office by storm, captivating audiences and raking in impressive numbers since its August 15, 2024 release. As the film continues to dominate theatres, new details about the cast's salaries have emerged, revealing some unexpected twists in the pay hierarchy.

Stree 2 Star Cast Salaries

Not leading lady Shraddha Kapoor commands the highest salary for ‘Stree 2.’ According to reports from the Free Press Journal, Rajkummar Rao, reprising his role as Vicky the tailor, secured the biggest paycheck at ₹6 crore.

While not taking the top spot, Shraddha Kapoor's earnings are nothing to scoff at. The actress, whose mysterious character remains central to the ‘Stree’ mythology, reportedly earned ₹5 crore for her return to the sequel.

Pankaj Tripathi, who plays the role of Rudra, a paranormal investigator and bookshop owner, takes the third spot, with a salary of ₹3 crore.

Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee, who both appeared in the first film, take the next two spots, with salaries of ₹70 lakh and ₹55 lakh, respectively. Varun Dhawan, who makes a special appearance as Bhediya, charges ₹2 crore for his limited role in the film.

Stree 2 Box Office Collection

‘Stree 2’ has shattered expectations, crossing the ₹400 crore mark globally within its first week. Domestic earnings have surpassed ₹300 crore, with industry tracker Sacnilk reporting a ₹305.6 crore total after a strong ₹16 crore Thursday.

The film's success is wider than India. Overseas markets have contributed significantly, with ₹59 crore coming from international audiences. This global appeal has pushed ‘Stree 2’ to approximately ₹417 crore in total earnings by its seventh release day.

Production house Maddock Films celebrated the milestone on social media, highlighting the film's ₹342 crore gross in India combined with its international performance. This resounding success cements ‘Stree 2’ as one of the year's biggest blockbusters.
