Sarvam Maya Ending Explained (SPOILER WARNING)

The climax of the movie shocks the audience as a near-fatal accident, the amnesiac ghost ‘Delulu’ regains back her memories. Post this accident, it is revealed that the true identity of ‘Delulu’ is Maya. She was a young woman who was declared brain-dead following a road accident.

Since they have finally figured out who Delulu really is, Prabhendu decided to help her get closure. Through Prabhendu’s journey to her home, he gives Maya’s grieving family the ‘closure’ they were all desperately seeking. The one who needed to get this closure in Maya’s family was her mother. Her mother felt that Maya died unloved. As Prabhendu acknowledges his own deep emotional bond with her, Maya’s presence fades away. This happens because Prabha finally processes his own suppressed grief and trauma. 

Learning and moving on from this eye-opening experience, he ultimately fulfils his musical dreams. He starts living a life ‘guided’ by her memory, and even chooses a spiritual devotion over a traditional replacement.
