Meaning Of ‘Jamal Kudu’

According to internet sources, the song is written in the Iranian language and was composed by Iran's Hazareh Group. The filmmakers of the film ‘Animal’ recreated the song and used it in the background of Bobby Deol’s entry in the film. ‘Jamal Kudu’ is named after a traditional Iranian song, ‘Jamal Jamalu’.

The lyrics of this song loosely translate to mean ‘Oh my darling, don't play with my heart, you are leaving and I am going crazy.’

The gist of the first two lines of the song is a girlfriend asking her boyfriend to leave her. ‘Vay Siyah Zangi Delamo Nakon Khun Vay To Rafti Safar Shodam Cho Majnun’ means do not break the heart of the one with black eyes, you left me and I became a lost cause like Majnu. ‘Hala Jamal Jamalo Jamalo Jamalo Kudu Jamal Jamalo Jamalo Jamalo Kudu’ means let the beauty shine... Just let it shine. Here Jamalo means to shine.
