Barroz 3D: Guardian Of Treasures Trailer; Mohanlal's Directorial Debut Appeals Visually But Lacks Taut

South Indian superstar Mohanlal, known for his multifaceted talent, consistently delights audiences with impactful projects. After several years of hard work, he is set to debut as a director with Barroz 3D: Guardian of Treasures, a project he's been developing since 2021. The recent release of the film's innovative 3D trailer has generated excitement, as it offers a unique virtual experience that audiences can enjoy from the comfort of their homes.

The trailer for Barroz 3D: Guardian of Treasures was recently unveiled at an extravagant launch event featuring numerous celebrities, with Akshay Kumar as the chief guest. 

This two-minute trailer opens with stunning visuals, setting the stage for the story. It introduces us to Barroz, a ghost residing in the D’Gama house who protects the treasure. The plot reveals Barroz’s centuries-old role as the guardian and his unique bond with a young girl named Isabela, hinting at a connection that spans past lives.

The trailer emphasises the evolving relationship between Barroz and Isabela, enhanced by impressive 3D elements that provide a visual treat for audiences. Designed primarily for children, it is anticipated to captivate viewers of all ages due to its distinctive visuals and different plot. However, some Mohanlal fans on the Reddit thread r/InsideMollywood express concerns that the plot may not be engaging enough, questioning if the film is relying solely on its visual effects to draw attention.

Barroz 3D: Guardian Of Treasures Release Date

The trailer's stunning visuals are enhanced by the exceptional cinematography of Santosh Sivan. The star-studded cast includes Mayo Rao West and June Vig, along with director Mohanlal himself. The movie is based on Jijo Punnoose’s novel Barroz: Guardian of D'Gama's Treasure. Although Jijo was initially involved in the project, he parted ways after Mohanlal and TK Rajeev Kumar revised the script during the pandemic.
