Earlier when cable was new and we had no concept of TV shows which hailed sanskaari bahus and vamps and what not, TV mogul Ekta Kapoor got you addicted to shows we never thought we will ever be watching especially when there were shows like 'saas', 'koshish', 'Astitva' and more. However, characters might have been different but the actresses and actors essaying the roles were brilliant at their work! Ekta sure gave us some super talent like Sakshi Tanwar herself! There is no denying and even you agree.

After all, our moms have cried with her, felt her pain and had related to her struggles. The show ended after 8 years and our love for the 45-year-old grew stronger. She ent on to work in several shows inluding Anil Kapoor's "24" which was a hit and then came films like "Mohalla Assi" and "Dangal".

In interviews to different media houses, Sakshi shared her feelings and opened up about being a single mom at this stage of life. She said: “It’s like any other parent who goes through this. I think I am no different. I am just like any other parent. I go through the same phase that every parent has to.”

Sakshi also talked about how happy she is of stepping into the next level with Ekta Kapoor, who is also a single mother. She said: “I think it’s a beautiful phase when we are moving on to the next level in our personal life. And I am glad that we both are experiencing motherhood at the same time. What can I say as it’s the most beautiful feeling ever!”

In an interview, earlier to a media house, Sakshi spoke at length about her normal bringing up. She said: “I was the youngest of three siblings. Both my older brother and sister pampered me a lot; in fact, I was saved from a lot of mischief I got into because they stood up for me. Growing up in a typical Indian family with its set of values and traditions was all about home, family, ghar ka khana -- that brought a whole lot of happiness as I was growing up. With a supportive and loving family to fall back on, in case of any crisis, life for me is simply full of fond memories. In fact, it is this strong support system that I had, that helped me move alone to Mumbai and live on my own.”

It is amazing to see how our celebs are understanding the fact that being a single parent is also okay although Sushmita Sen was ahead of her time when she did that too when she was just 25 and had to fight a legal battle to become a mother.
