Neena Gupta has come a long way. She stepped into the world of Bollywood in the year 1985 but never saw a commercial success until last year with her movie Badhaai Ho that entered the 100 crore club and again made her a star overnight.

From fun boomerangs to random pictures, she is posting it all on her social media handle. Recently, she started with an Instagram series that she calls, "Sach Kahoon Toh.." In this series of videos, Neena Gupta has decided to discuss issues no one talks about. She spoke to HerZindagi exclusively about this series.
In her first video, Neena Gupta talked about fitness. She said that a lot of people ask her about her fitness secrets. In the video, Neena ji shared that she does a lot of Yoga and walks for 1 hour everyday. She said that homemade food is very important. She adviced her fans to eat everything homemade and in moderation.
In this exclusive conversation with our Editor Megha Mamgain, Neena Gupta said, "For my fans, especially women, I feel I should speak from the heart. People keep saying things on social media, Twitter about all what is going wrong around. I have decided to speak and if people don't like it I will stop. I thought I need to speak about the issues women face on a daily basis."
In another video, Neena Gupta talked about lonliness. She also talked about her wedding and living away from her husband. In this video she said that a lot of people talk about loneliness these days. Be it children, married people, everyone says that feel lonely. She shared that she talks to her husband on Ipad.
Neena shared that people don't have anything to talk about these days. This is why most people are busy with their phones these days.
To deal with loneliness, Neena Gupta shared that she reads a book. She also shared that women can cook, hangout with their friends, this makes one feel good instantly. One must not pity themselves.
Further talking about loneliness, Neena Gupta shared that she can very well understand this phase because she as a single mother passed through a similar period. She said it was the time when a child needed both the mother and the father.
Neena ji fought with the society and did all things alone. She made her daughter so capable that she could do something in life. She got all this courage because of her loneliness.
Talking about fashion in another video, Neena Gupta shared that one must dress up as per their body type. We must not wear something because we saw someone wearing it. You must buy clothes which look good on you. She said that she has fat on her stomach and she dresses accordingly.
Neena Gupta also shared, "People have become very aware about fashion these days. They say Kareena is wearing something so I wear it too but they must think that they are not Kareena, they don't have a body like Kareena."
Neena Gupta, who herself is a fashion icon today said, "This is why I am doing all this. I want to do all kinds of things and if it makes a difference to even one woman then it is enough for me."
While talking to HerZindagi, Neena Gupta said, "I want to speak about everything, things no one talks about. A lot of people are afraid of talking about things like sex and things that women are facing. I will speak on such topics. I feel really sad seeing women living in slums. After working so hard all day, they go home tired and have to sex."
Neena Gupta said that women become this idol of sacrifice. She said, "women feel that their husband or their children can't live without them but it is not like that. Your life ends there, you don't live for yourself. Then your kids come and tell you, we never asked you to give birth to us." She said that she will talk about the problems women face.
Talking about periods, Neena Gupta said, "When I see women from slum area I think what do they use during periods. They don't have sanitary napkins so what do they use. They use dirty clothes during periods."
She shared her experience, "I came from a middle class family and never used sanitary pads. I used to put cotton in the old cloth and use it. I always wanted to talk about this. I have seen that time when sanitary napkins were only for the rich."
Further sharing about her Instagram series, Neena Gupta shared she will be talking about her skin secrets, cooking and different phases of life in the upcoming videos.
She says she is connected to women emotionally and she will talk a lot about the problems women face in their life. Neena ji says that if she is able to bring about any difference in the life of a women with these videos then she will be really happy because this is why she started with this series. She said that this series is not for getting more likes on Instagram but for women.
Neena ji also shared that she will talk about Hindi in this series. She said, "There is a wall between Hindi and English speaking people today. Why are Hindi speakers underestimated? I only speak in Hindi."
Neena Gupta shared that her daughter, ace fashion designer,
Masaba Gupta and her team helped her make these videos. She said, "I am not very well versed with technology but I want to keep making such videos. Someone told me to make a documentary, some said to write a book but I want to keep it digital because this medium will reach more people."
Neena ji has 3 videos on her handle till now and all of them are getting a great response from her fans. She said, "There are very good comments on my videos. If I could touch a single woman from my videos then I would consider myself lucky."
