Cricketer Mithali Raj made Indian proud yet again as she becomes the first woman to play 200 matches in the one-day international format. She made a historic moment while playing in Hamilton against New Zealand.
This 36-year-old powerhouse, was born in Jodhpur, and is often regarded as one of the greatest batswomen. Her life wasn’t as easy as most us perceive in a virtual world. Mithali made her debut in June 1999 against Ireland (scored 114) and at a later point of time she earned her 192nd cap to beat Charlotte Edward’s, former England captain when she led India against the English in the first match of their ICC Women’s Championship ODI series ,in April 2018.
Who said women can’t compete with men on the same platform? In her 20-year-long career, she left behind some of the most prolific names in men’s circuit.
