Go Big On Barbie Pink This Wedding Season
Sanjana gives us her take on adapting the hot Indian pink to the topical occasion saying, “I would say one would be to obviously experiment with the colour, that is, you know the Barbie pink colour. So pick out silhouettes that form flattering, that are a little bit more streamlined. So it could be a pre draped cocktail saree like what Falguni Shane did recently. They did this fishtail lehengas with a slit and you know barely their blouses. So that's a great way to incorporate the Barbie core trend.”
Add A Pop Of Pink With Your Jewels
Sanjana suggests one adds a splash of pink to their wedding ready outfits with jewels saying, “the second way to do it would be with jewellery of course. So add elements of pink to your jewellery, play around with pink diamonds and you know diamonds to accentuate your look and bring out the Barbie core trend.”
Mix Up The Tones Of Pink
The luxury fashion influencer adds that a mix of tones of pink does the magic for her and says, “number 3 would be to mix tones of pink. I feel that could be interesting as well visually. And you can tone, you can pair a blush pink with a slightly deeper tone of pink. Or you could go the complete different, you could go completely diametrically opposite to that and do like a hot pink as well.”

Play Dollhouse With Barbie Pink Hued Makeup
Going the all pink makeup way is the cherry on the cake. “The fourth thing of course would be to experiment with your makeup. So pop, pink lips, pink eyes, rosy cheeks, a lot of highlighter, you know, iridescent skin. I think that's a good way to incorporate the Barbie trend. This can also include hairstyles, Barbie inspired hairstyles. So you know, kind of working hairstyles that you have seen in and on Barbie through the movie or even reference the actual Barbies that they have been. I think that is a good way to experiment with the trend.” says Sanjana.

Handpick Tone On Tone Embroideries & Embellishments
“Pick embroideries or pick pieces that are embellished, that are intricately embroidered, that don't have too much contrast, that are more tone on tone. So if it's a pink outfit, it would have pink embellishment on it or pink embroidery on it or a tone of pink on it. I think that is all you know, it could be metallic as well, but nothing too sharp and high contrast in terms of say a colour block or a colour contrast situation,” suggests Sanjana.
