Met Gala 2023 kickstarted on May 1, and we cannot get over the fashion frenzy it let us in. This year the annual fundraiser event for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute had a theme honouring German fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld. Many celebrities, including Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, Cardi B, Kim Kardashian, Jenna Ortega, Isha Ambani, Rihanna, Lil Nas X and Anne Hathaway were in attendance.

Jeremy Pope With A Trail

American actor and singer Jeremy Pope attended the Met Gala in a black outfit with a long trail featuring feather details. The trail had Karl Lagerfeld’s face on it. As he climbed up the stairs of the red carpet, he flaunted a few metres long trail.

Doja Cat Dressed As A Cat

Doja Cat aka Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini graced the annual fashion parade dressed as a cat. She wore an ivory shimmery dress with a head cover featuring the ears of a cat. She went for cat-eye eyeliner and kept the jewellery count restricted. She even used prosthetics to make her nose look like a cat.

When an interviewer asked her a few questions about the dress and inspiration, she replied “Meow” like a cat. One of the videos that is going viral shows the celebrity continuously making noises like a cat while answering questions.

Cockroach Walked The Red Carpet

Among an exclusive list of attendees at the Met Gala 2023 was a cockroach that appeared out of nowhere. While celebrities wore expensive outfits and precious jewels to make a statement, the insect chose to be its real self. It was so much fascinating for cameramen that they started clicking its pictures and shooting videos.

Pedro Pascal’s Red Outfit

American actor Pedro Pascal teamed black cycling shorts with a blood-red shirt, black tie and an oversized red coat.

Kim Kardashian’s Walk

Kim Kardashian walked the carpets of the Met Gala 2023 wearing a pastel dress with a corset. It had intricate beadwork around the chest and below the corset. The model completed the look with a pair of high heels, a white shoulder cape with a long trail and a choker.

She was spotted climbing up the stairs a little uncomfortably due to beads that were restricting the movement of her legs.

Lil Nas X

American rapper Lil Nas X (Met Gala 2023 Highlights) attended the Met Gala with his entire body covered in silver paint and jewels pasted everywhere. He donned a silver thong and had excessive craftsmanship done around her neck and face. She sealed the look with silver boots.

Janelle Monae

Musician Janelle Monae made an appearance wearing an oversized black and white coat over a ball gown wireframe. After climbing the stairs, she removed the coat and flaunted her style in a black bikini, ball gown wireframe, dramatic hairdo and pump boots.

Bad Bunny In Backless Suit

Bad Bunny, the Puerto Rican superstar, turned heads around in a backless Jacquemus suit. The designer also wore a similar suit in black. Both of them wore a studded J-shaped pendant.

Jared Leto Wearing A Cat Suit

Actor and musician Jared Leto made an appearance at the Met Gala wearing a cat suit. It resembled Choupette, Karl Lagerfeld's cat.
