Being a MIT alumni, Mona Patel decided to bring tech to the carpet this year too after she made her debut last year in a custom-made kinetic dress by Iris van Herpen. She brought Vector, the robotic dog, inspired by the Hector Bag from Thom Browne and made by the brilliant minds at MIT. What made the robo-dog couture was that it was designed to be in a tux and came with a 1000-carat emerald-cut diamond leash.
