Sonam Kapoor Ahuja Celebrates Ladakhi Heritage In Mogos At Ambani Pre-Wedding Festivities

Sonam Kapoor is known for her regal fashion sense and so is called the fashionista of bollywood. While each of her outfits turns heads and make headlines, her recent ensemble at Ambani pre-wedding festivity stole the show. Sonam Kapoor paid homage to Ladakh heritage by styling Mogos. Sonam Kapoor In Namza Couture 

As the pre-wedding festivities of Anant and Radhika winded down last night at Jamnagar, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja opted for the traditional ensemble of Ladakh. The event was themed to highlight India's Rich Heritage. Highlighting this, Sonam Kapoor turned to Namza Couture for her look for the night. Namza Couture was founded by Padma Yangchan and Jigmet Disket in 2016 and is popularly known for their Ladakhi textiles. 

Sonam Kapoor (wedding outfit inspiration from sonam kapoor) took to Instagram to share her look. She captioned, “Since the night was dedicated to heritage, Introducing the traditional attire of Ladakh: The Mogos, the primary garment, paired with the Bok cape for warmth, showcases the rich cultural tapestry influenced by the Silk Route. Crafted from silk by artisans of Benaras, this ensemble features intricate phoenix embroidery symbolising energy and wisdom, with a crane motif representing peace and prosperity.

Details Of The Outfit 

Sonam Kapoor's attire included Mogos, a gown-like piece featuring pistachio green brocade and a shiny zari border. She draped a rani-pink shawl known as Bok, crafted from goat skin or silk to provide warmth. The ensemble she wore was crafted by artisans of Benaras and thus featured elaborate phoenix embroidery representing vitality and wisdom. Moreover, it also featured a crane motif that symbolises peace and prosperity. For accessories, Sonam chose a diamond-encrusted necklace that featured emerald stone in the centre. She completed her look with copper handcuffs and bold statement rings paired with pearl earrings.
