Netflix's The Archies Premiere: Khushi Kapoor Pays Homage To Mother Sridevi, Wears The Late Actor’s Gown

Late Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s younger daughter Khushi Kapoor showed up for the premiere night of ‘The Archies’ dressed in a gown previously worn by her mother a decade ago in the year 2013.

The Netflix film marks the Bollywood debut of Khushi Kapoor along with co-stars, Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan, Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda, Vedang Raina, Mihir Ahuja, Dot and Yuvraj Menda.

During the screening of her much awaited film, ‘The Archies’; Khushi Kapoor paid a heartfelt homage to her mother, the late Sridevi in the most heartwarming manner. The actor was caught by shutterbugs on the red carpet, donning a stunning gold gown that was worn at a previous occasion by her mother a decade ago.

The screening of the Netflix film, ‘The Archies’ was held at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in Mumbai on Tuesday, December 5, 2023. And amidst a sea of stars, Khushi Kapoor stood out by slipping into her mother’s dress sourced from the designer Kaufman Franco that the late actor wore to the 2013 IIFA red carpet.

Instagram was flooded with pictures of Khushi Kapoor dressed in her oh-so-gorgeous gold gown, which were shared by her stylist Priyanka Kapadia via Instagram stories. Kapadia shared a rather special snap of the actor with a note saying, "A very special night in a very special dress from her mom's closet."

Khushi Kapoor’s gown was a signature piece from the designer Kaufman Franco that was vintage and borrowed from her mother, late Sridevi’s closet. The bandeau style sans shoulder gown in an old gold hue was laden with sequin, diamonds and embellishments and had a zip closure feature. The body hugging gown accentuated her figure and had a short train that added a regal touch to the look.

Khushi Hair, Makeup And Accessory Game For The Special Night:

Priyanka Kapadia kept Khushi’s accessories, hair and makeup rather chic and put together. Khushi Kapoor picked a statement diamond choker and a pair of solitaire stud earrings for her accessories.

Her hair was done up in a sleek bun that let the limelight shine on her ensemble. For her makeup picks of the night, Khushi went for a nude glossy lip, defined eyebrows, bronze shimmer eyeshadow and a well contoured and highlighted face.

Janhvi Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor And Anshula Kapoor Cheer Khushi On:

At the screening, Khushi’s elder siblings Janhvi Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor along with their dad Boney Kapoor cheered for the newbie actor. Her cousin, Rhea Kapoor was also spotted supporting Khushi along with husband Karan Boolani.
