It's A Wrap! See The Best Looks From Lakme Fashion Week 2019

Lakme Fashion Week Summer 2019 has finally wrapped up and we have here put up some of our favourite looks from the week. There were a lot of debuts and many evergreen showstoppers that made this edition a big hit. This edition was a treat for Indian audiences as they got to see their favoruite Bollywood personalities walking the ramp for different designers. From Kareena Kapoor Khan to Kangana Ranaut to Malaika Arora, a lot of celebrities dazzled the ramp.

Actress Aditi Rao Hydari walked the ramp for designer Sailesh Singhania. She flaunted a royal golden lehenga choli from his Shaahanaa collection. The collection represented the splendour of Indian royalty. The collection has been curated with a combination of zari fabric and silk tissue. The key focus of Sailesh behind the collection was to create sustainable clothing and also promote ‘Make In India’.

Bhumi Pednekar looked stunning as she walked the ramp for Shehla Khan on the last day of the Lakme Fashion Week. She walked along with Karan Johar and Isabella Kaif.

The gorgeous Lisa Haydon totally took over the ramp as she walked for Shriya Som in a silver sequin dress.

Karisma Kapoor looked stunning as she turned showstopper for designer Punit Balana. She was seen wearing a monochrome Anarkali that had a frill skirt, an embroidered dupatta, and white pants. Her hair was tied in a messy braid and lips were painted red. The bronze-hued make-up added to her overall look. Actress Kangana Ranaut, who is currently enjoying the success of her film Manikarnika also walked the ramp for designer Anushree Reddy in a pretty peach lehenga.

Malaika Arora turned heads as she walked for designer Manoj Agarrwal. She wore a ruffled backless gown.

The very beautiful Diana Penty walked the ramp for designer Mishru at the Lakme Fashion Week. The mauve lehenga was inspired by the Rococo art. White, ivory, blush, mauve and warm grey tones took over. The collection has a lot of asymmetry, floral motifs inspired from Rococo’s collection.

Our favourite amongst all was Tahira Kashyap. Writer and director Tahira Kashyap is Ayushmann Khurrana’s wife and is currently undergoing chemotherapy as part of her treatment for breast cancer. She has been inspiring all of us ever since she was detected cancer. After her last chemotherapy recently, Tahira chose to leave her extensions and go bald. She also shared a photograph of her bare back with a scar. She has been urging people to fight the disease and not fear it. On the ramp, Tahira was super confident and smiled all the way. Tahira walked for the Bodice Studio. She shared a picture of herself from the fashion show and captioned it, “I got the instructions to not to smile too much, but couldn’t control 😄🙈 first time and super fun! Walked for @bodicebodice at @lakmefashionwk”.
