After her vibrant appearance at Met Gala 2019, Priyanka Chopra is all set to make a stunning debut at the Cannes Film Festival. The only Bollywood actress to cross 40 million followers on photo-sharing app Instagram, Priyanka was spotted at the JFK airport, New York with luggage as she left for the French Riviera on Wednesday, May 15, 2019. Prepping for her first appearance that her fans and people in tinsel town have been eagerly waiting for, Priyanka has shared three monochrome photos of iconic women who graced the red carpet of Cannes in the past.
The ‘Quantico’ star shared pictures of Princess Grace of Monaco, Sophia Loren, and Princess Diana who had made their Cannes red carpet appearance that was such iconic events in the history of the festival. Princess Diana, 26 at the time, had arrived in a Grecian style Catherine Walker gown with Prince Charles at the red carpet event.
Princess Grace of Monaco also showed up at the Cannes red carpet back in 1955. She was an American actress and became a princess after marrying Prince Rainier III.
Another picture is of Sophia Loren who over the years wowed people with her Cannes red carpet look.

Along with Priyanka, actress Diana Penty will make her debut at Cannes this year, while television actress Hina Khan has already debuted on May 15. Besides this, representing India are other actresses including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut, Mallika Sherawat.

On the work front, Priyanka will be seen in Shonali Bose’s 'The Sky Is Pink' opposite Farhan Akhtar, Zaira Wasim and Rohit Saraf. The film scheduled to release on October 11 revolves around the life of motivational speaker Aisha Chaudhary who was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis.
