On July 22, 2022, at around 10:00 am, the Central Board of Secondary Education declared the CBSE Board class 12th examination results for the batch year 2021-2022. According to the reports, girls' overall pass percentage was 3.29% better than boys. Girls have been outperforming boys for the last four years.

A total of 14,44,341 candidates registered for the examination and 14,35,366 students took the examination. Out of the total students who appeared for the examination, 13,30,662 passed.
Gender-Wise Percentage
The overall pass percentage for the class 12th CBSE examination was 92.71 percent. The passing percentage of girls was 94.54, whereas, for boys, the passing percentage was 91.25 percent. Like last year, the passing percentage of transgender students was 100%.
Region-Wise Pass Percentage
Trivandrum performed best with a 98.83 pass percentage. Bengaluru recorded 98.16 pass percentage, Chennai: 97.79, Delhi East: 96.29, Delhi West: 96.29, Ajmer: 96.01, Chandigarh: 95.98, Panchkula: 94.08 , Guwahati: 92.06, Patna: 91.20, Bhopal: 90.74, Pune: 90.48, Bhubaneswar: 90.37, Noida: 90.27 , Dehradun: 85.39. Prayagraj recorded the worst pass percentage: 83.71.
