Kashi Vishwanath Temple

The month of Sawan, dedicated to Lord Shiva, holds immense religious significance in Hinduism. Devotees observe fasts, offer prayers, and participate in various rituals to seek blessings from the deity. The Kashi Vishwanath Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, is a major pilgrimage site where devotees congregate in large numbers during Sawan to perform rituals, as per the Government of Uttar Pradesh's official website.

5. Given the high volume of devotees visiting the temple during Sawan (Popular Temples To Visit In Varanasi), efficient crowd management is essential. To alleviate congestion at the Saraswati Gate entrance during peak times, additional arrangements have been made to accommodate extra crowds at the Saraswati Park ramp.

6. Entry through Gate 4B will require valid identification, such as an Aadhaar card with a Kashi address, a voter ID, an EPIC card, or a driving licence. No payment-based entry pass will be needed.

7. To prevent overcrowding, barricade logs will be tied to both the top and bottom of the zigzag railing. For safety and convenience, railings have also been installed on the steep stairs from the ghat side.

8. Proper water and medical facilities will be available for all devotees.
