There are some places all over the world that have come under the radar for paranormal activities with many trying to even capture it on camera. However, even some of my friends have told me that it is best to avoid those places and not invite trouble as they have experienced it at spots I was shocked to know about and you will be too!

Delhi Cantonment, Delhi

Otherwise a green area, Delhi cantonment is said to be one of those places that needs to be avoided at night. As per stories travelling through Chinese whisper, the road which goes through the cantonment area has ghosts that even hitchhike and walk around waving at passersby trying to stop cars.

Mukesh Mills, Mumbai

This mill was built in 1870 but was shut down after a massive fire in the 1980s. It was left in ruins and is now a popular shooting location for Bollywood films. Many stars and crew members have said that they have witnessed paranormal activities in certain areas of the mill. This is why they wrap up their work before the sun sets in.

Raj Kiran Hotel, Lonavala

This is apopularweekend getawayfor tourists but then it has a popular rumour around it as well. Guests have shared some really eerie stories we see in films and one of them being the one with bed sheets and blankets at night. It is said that their sheets have been forcefully pulled off at night and that they also have woken up midnight and seen a blue ray near the bed.

Dumas Beach, Surat, Gujarat

This beach in Gujarat has black sand and is also a cremation ground. It is said that once the sun sets, you can hear shrieks and whispers of the spirits of tormented souls. The locals of Gujarat avoid coming here at night as even the dogs here bark throughout the night. For those unaware, dogs and cats can sense paranormal presence according to many, which is why you may have noticed your pet staring at a wall or corner just like that or a cat standing still with its tail raised.

Savoy Hotel, Mussoorie

It all began in 1911 when a spiritualist, Miss Frances Garnett-Orme, was poisoned here and it is still not known why and how. Guests ho have spent the night here say that her ghost roams around the hotel and they have even heard her footsteps. The haunting story is so famous that even the late famous detective story writer Agatha Christie added a leaf on it in her book The Mysterious Affair at Styles, and so did Ruskin Bond in the book, A Mussoorie Murder.

Ramoji Film City, Andhra Pradesh

This one was a shocker for me as I stayed here for 3 days due to work myself. But thankfully I never experienced any haunting experience. The film city located on the outskirts of Hyderabad is said to be home to various spirits. They are rumoured to roam around the grounds and the hotels.

For those unaware, the film city was built on a battlefield, so it is surrounded by the spirits of the dead soldiers. The ones living here or working here have witnessed odd marks on the mirrors, the props, and crew members fall on the ground in unexplained circumstances.

Dow Hill, West Bengal

Many locals here have said that there are ghosts roaming around in this small hill station which is surrounded by forest and a boys school. Many accidents and murders have taken place in the greenery with many ghost children sighted. People have said to have had several eerie experiences with a boy like figure following some of them. A lot of laughter, shrieks and echoing footsteps have been heard even when schools are closed during vacations.

Grand Paradi Towers, Mumbai

This is among the first high-rise buildings in Mumbai, but known for all the wrong reasons. It had many people reportedly committing suicide. In addition to this, there have been several versions of the building's 8th floor being a haunted one, resulting in its sealing by the authorities. People have experienced random knocking on the door, footsteps in places where they should not be, screams, so much so that many counselling sessions are held here for the current inhabitants.

Yes, you read that right! It came to me as much of a shocker as to you. There have been some stories around seeing a certain ghost-like figure on the escalators and one rumoured to be walking around on the runway and in the Cargo section of the airport at times.
