Shagun Batra’s film Gehraiyaan recently released on Amazon Prime has created much stir amongst the audiences and critics alike. Starring Deepika Padukone, Sidhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday and Dairya Karwa, the film delves into the controversial theme of infidelity. The film also explores the subject of inherited trauma that has remained long untouched by Bollywood. While the theme and tone of the film Gehraiyaan is unwonted, it managed to win people’s hearts with its alluring setting.

The mesmerising seaside villa which is visited by the four lead characters in the film is owned by Tia. Tia’s role is played by Ananya Panday in the film. The film displayed a vast expanse of sea views and a verdant beach villa. Though the villa is shown to be in Alibaug in the film Gehraiyaan, in reality it is a spectacular boutique hotel which happens to be in Goa.

In reality, ‘Ahilya by the Sea’ is the name of the boutique hotel shown as a beach villa in the film Gehraiyaan. The hotel is equipped with nine rooms in three sea facing villas, which have amenities like two infinity pools, a spa and lush green gardens. The price of the property ranges from 33k to 21k per night depending upon the season of booking. The hotel is situated in Nerul, Goa.
