This city is more like an extension of Jaisalmer and Jaipur. This city was the centre of power for the then Mewar state with a number of forts, palaces and temples which attract so much tourism. Also known as the Sun City, Jodhpur is also known for the blue houses which makes another name for the city --Blue City.

Sawai Madhopur

This district is among the best tourist places in Rajasthan. It was founded by Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh in 1763. It is home to the famous Ranthambore National Park which is known for the tigers living here. The palace here is a major tourist attraction which has been declared a UNESCO heritage.
