With the new year underway, travel patterns in India are showing an exciting shift. According to a recent survey by Booking.com, Indian travellers are diversifying their destinations, exploring not just the well-known favourites but also the lesser-known gems across the country. The rise in searches for regional and culturally rich places reflects a growing preference for immersive and meaningful travel experiences in 2024.
Goa Tops the List with a 200% Surge in Searches
Among the most searched destinations for 2024, Goa has emerged as the top pick. As per the data from Booking.com, flight searches for Goa saw a remarkable 200% increase compared to the previous year. Known for its beaches, vibrant culture, and nightlife, Goa continues to captivate travellers looking for relaxation and adventure.
Rising Popularity of Spiritual Destinations
Beyond the usual metro cities, Indian travellers have shown increased interest in culturally rich and spiritually significant destinations.
