The state of Himachal Pradesh is very welcoming towards all kinds of tourists, be it honeymooners, backpackers or families looking forward to have a good time. Apart from the Mall Road where you can shop to your heart’s content while having a look of the valley, spend some time contemplating about your life as you visit the Christ Church, the Ridge or visit Asia’s only open air ice-skating rink.Try to book your accommodation area near the city centre so that you won’t have to travel a lot even if it gets dark.
Ladakh
Research and plan the trip well to know the area in and out. People are very warm and friendly so you will get help regarding everything, still it makes sense to know the place to avoid getting lost. To reach Leh, take the HPTDC deluxe mini bus from Manali to Leh for Rs. 2500 inclusive of 1 night hotel stay in Keylong. Go for shared taxi to travel through Ladakh. Stay at the Old Leh Road and try to get a local contact before you reach to make things easier. In Ladakh, the only thing you will have to worry about is the harsh environment so have the medicines handy.
Udaipur
The city of lakes and palaces invites all sorts of travellers every year. For a solo woman traveller, there are many places to explore such as City Palace, Monsoon Palace or Saheliyon Ki Bari which is visited by many tourists from around the world. You can also go marble shopping at NH 8 Badarda, take a boat ride at Lake Pichola or attend the puppet show at Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandal Folk Museum. Udaipur is not the place to experience nightlife so things go quiet here. So it is best to explore all the palaces and places during the day and retire at night to get refreshed for the next day’s travels.
