Here’s Where Indians Are Travelling To Celebrate Rakshabandhan & Janmashtmi

With the upcoming long weekends in August, many people have already made their reservations to get away. According to reports, there has been a surge in prices for flights on certain routes, making us wonder which places are the most searched for travelling during Rakshabandhan, Independence Day, and Janmashtami.

Whether you search for a flight from Delhi or Mumbai, the prices to popular destinations like Goa, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Thiruvananthapuram, etc. have skyrocketed.

We spoke to Vipul Prakash, COO of Goibibo, and he agreed that there has been a surge in bookings for places where people can enjoy the weather. About 49% of their bookings are for tier II and III sectors, indicating that many people are planning to go home for the celebration of festivals.

If you search for flights in the upcoming days, you would see that a flight from Delhi to Goa and another flight from Delhi to Bangkok around Janmashtmi have a difference of around ₹2,000 only.

Lonavala

During the monsoons, Lonavala is a striking hill station to visit in Maharashtra. You can explore Karla Caves, Bhaja Caves, Duke’s Nose, Tikona Fort, Kune Falls, Lohagad Fort, Tungarli Lake, and Pawna Lake. Tiger’s Leap here is a spot where you can hike and enjoy the cascading stream.

The nearest airport to the hill station is Lohegaon, Pune. You can also travel to Mumbai and book a car to Lonavala.

Jaipur
