Picture this: You’re on vacation and chilling out on the beach with your pals! Now guess what Ethan Hunt does on his vacation? He dangles off the deadly canyons! MI 2 opens with Cruise solo climbing Dead Horse Point in Utah—5900 feet high with safety ropes! One slip off the crumbled rocks and it would have been a stairway to heaven. But Cruise made it look like an easy early morning walk in the park. Hats off to his deadly upper body strength!

Tom Cruise was seen climbing through the glass panes of Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. Maybe he wasn’t just performing a stunt, he was flirting with death! Seems like Cruise and altitude have a match made in heaven! Basically, he recreated the Dead Horse climbing scene here. But in an aging body and a horrifying mission. No Harness. Another opening sequence that makes you wonder: What? Is he a man or a myth? Cruise just clung to an airborne plane, speeding at 165 mph in the middle of a mission, and he still looked stylish. The plane door is the only thing he was latching onto at 5000 feet in the air and gravity almost ripped him apart. To get the perfect shot, they had a grueling 48 hours and 8 takes. What comes out is Ethan Hunt defying gravity, death and his age. Well, he was 53 while shooting this!

You might have seen a BTS clip of Tom Cruise performing in this shot. Did you notice that Cruise was asking the director, “one more take?”, even though the shot was good. Well, that’s the level of dedication, discipline and daring this man possesses. After airborne planes and troublesome planes, Tom decided to jump off a cliff for a mission. Here’s the catch: He gave multiple takes while riding a motorcycle and then pulled off a BASE jump for this. After this, even danger peeks around the corner and asks Tom: Are you for real?
