South Korean Actor Song Jae Rim Dies At 39

The South Korean entertainment industry was shocked by the tragic news of the death of South Korean actor Song Jae Rim, who was found deceased in his apartment in Seoul, South Korea on November 12, 2024. The news was found when one of his friends, who had planned to meet the actor but became concerned when he did not respond. Upon arriving at Song Jae-rim’s home in Seoul’s Seongdong District, the friend found the actor’s dead body and immediately alerted the authorities.

The Seongdong Police Station confirmed the death, stating that no signs of foul play were initially observed at the scene. According to Seoul Seongdong Police Station, the dead body was found on Tuesday afternoon at 12:30 pm and the cause of the death is still unknown. They said, “Currently, there is no evidence of foul play”, according to The Korea Herald report. According to the reports, a two-page letter was also found at the scene.

Authorities have yet to make any further statements about the circumstances surrounding his passing. Song Jae-rim’s funeral will be held at the Yeouido St. Mary's Funeral Hall in Seoul.

According to the latest Korean media reports, his last Instagram post was made over ten months ago which was a mirror selfie where he was seen wearing a black T-shirt with no captions but emoji ‘😷’. His Instagram bio was recently updated to ‘긴 여행 시작’ (Beginning of a long journey).
