Interestingly, Dhwan and Karmakar met on the sets of ‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii’ in which they were playing siblings. They shared an adorable on-screen chemistry, but they were also developing off-screen chemistry. Long after the show, they dated and got married in 2002.

The couple had a marriage of 15 years when they separated in 2017. They finally got divorced in 2019. They have a son Eshaan, whom they both adore a lot.

In an old interview, she confessed that she longs for a partner. “A companion is important to share one’s thoughts. But if you ask me about marriage, honest, I am done with it.”

She also added that her friends often encourage her to think about remarriage, but she feels that what is more important in life is to find the right person with whom a person can share the joys of life.

Before she entered the Bigg Boss 17 house, she gave an interview to Pinkvilla in which the actor said that she shares a friendly bond with her ex-husband Karmakar. They live in the same society and often bump into each other at parties.
