Avengers: Doomsday is all set to grace our screens with a lineup of incredible cast which includes the fan favourite Letitia Wright, who will be returning as Shuri, the Black Panther. During a nearly five-and-a-half-hour livestream, Marvel Studios unveiled its cast for Avengers: Doomsday which includes Letitia. This exciting confirmation has sparked anticipation among viewers, culminating with the hashtag #AvengersDoomsday buzzing across platforms.

The live-streamed cast reveal was a great way to get fans excited. The event was broadcast on YouTube and promoted across social media platforms like X (formerly known as Twitter) and Instagram. As the camera slowly panned over the director's chairs, each bearing a star's name, fans went into a frenzy. But the biggest thrill came when the camera landed on Letitia Wright, accompanied by the iconic Black Panther theme music, resulting in an electrifying online reaction. 

Letitia Wright's character, Shuri, made her debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in the 2018 blockbuster Black Panther. She brought to life T'Challa's younger sister with her sharp wit and warm personality. As the MCU unfolded, Shuri's role grew in Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, revealing her as a brilliant mastermind, even rivalling Tony Stark's genius. Now, as part of the latest superhero team in Avengers: Doomsday, Shuri's journey may take a dramatic turn, showcasing her remarkable tech skills and determination.

The cast announced included Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Anthony Mackie (Captain America), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), Letitia Wright (Black Panther), Simu Liu (Shang-Chi), Danny Ramirez (The Falcon) and Winston Duke (M’Baku).

According to USA Today, Avengers: Doomsday is slated for release on May 1, 2026. It will be followed by ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ on May 7, 2027.
