Filmmaker Karan Johar's name often comes up in discussions about nepotism. This is because the filmmaker is famous for introducing many star kids to the Bollywood industry. The filmmaker and director is also known as the flag-bearer of nepotism in Bollywood by Kangana Ranaut.
In a recent trailer launch of Kajol’s new show ‘The Trial’, Gaurav Banerjee the Head of Content for Disney+ Hotstar revealed that Karan Johar too will soon be coming to the screens with a show around Nepotism.

Gaurav Banerjee mentioned how Karan will be back on our screens with not just Koffee With Karan, but also another show titled ‘Showtime’ which will shed light on the topic of Nepotism, and who would be a better fit for a show like this than Karan Johar himself. Gaurav Banerjee said that, “We have got a lot of that coming that is incredibly exciting. Firstly there's the conclusion of ‘The Night Manager’. Kajol's bestie Karan Johar is going to come back with a new season of Koffee With Karan. He'll be shooting for it soon. He's making another interesting show for us, Showtime, which is about nepotism in Bollywood.” He also said, “We have got a series with Neeraj Pandey which we will be announcing soon. Finally, we have new seasons of Criminal Justice, Aarya, and Special OPS. So yes, it’s an exciting slate.”
The show was first announced by Karan Johar himself in September of last year, where he also said that he will reveal the biggest trade secrets of India's entertainment industry in this show.
