BTS Reunion: After a hiatus prompted by mandatory military service, BTS has officially announced their reunion. In a Weverse livestream titled ‘BTS is back’, on July 1, 2025, all seven members: RM, Jin, Suga, J‑Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, confirmed they are returning with a full-group album in spring 2026, along with plans for a massive world tour.
This was the first time all seven BTS members went live together since September 2022, making it a truly special and emotional moment for fans around the world. The reunion brought a wave of excitement and nostalgia for ARMYs who’ve been waiting to see them together again.
BTS Announces New Album After Completing Military Service
This upcoming album will be BTS’s first full studio release since 2020’s ‘Be’ (and their 2022 anthology ‘Proof’). They’ll begin creating music together again in July 2025, as shared by BTS leader RM in the Weverse live on July 1, 2025, aiming for a spring 2026 release.

BTS's RM said during the livestream, “Starting in July, we’ll gather and focus our work on the new album. It really looks like our new album will be released in spring of next year.” He further added, “We’re also planning on a world tour to celebrate the new album.”
The members highlighted that the album will reflect their individual voices and shared experiences, crafted with the same spirit they had at the start of their career.
BTS World Tour 2026
Alongside the album, BTS confirmed a global world tour in spring 2026. This will be their first full-group tour since the ‘Permission to Dance On Stage’ series, which wrapped up in 2022 with over 4 million fans.
Details on dates and locations are yet to come, but fans worldwide are already buzzing.

Military Service Journey Complete
BTS paused group activities in 2022 so each member could complete South Korea’s mandatory 18–to 21-month military service. Jin, J‑Hope, RM, V, Jimin, and Jung kook had all enlisted between 2022–2023, while Suga served as a social service agent until June 2025, marking the end of the group’s military duties.

What’s Next For BTS?
As per the official press release, BTS will be heading to the United States this month to kick off work on their upcoming album. This highly awaited 2026 release will be their first full group project since their 2022 anthology ‘Proof’, the 2021 Japanese compilation ‘BTS, the Best’, and their last studio album ‘Be’, which came out back in 2020.
