Alia Bhatt Brings The Magic Of Tum Kya Mile Song To Life In Her New Vlog

Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt has recently released a vlog on her YouTube channel which takes us to the behind the scenes of the song ‘Tum Kya Mile’ from ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’. She also shared an Instagram post that talked about her vlog for the song ‘Tum Kya Mile’. In the vlog she has opened up about her fitness journey, stating that she has to start working out just six weeks after delivery as the romantic song 'Tum Kya Mile' was scheduled.

While sharing the vlog of her song Tum Kya Mile on her YouTube channel, Alia Bhatt wrote, "Haseen Vaadiyan, Chiffon sarees, a romantic song shot in the heavenly Kashmir…#TumKyaMile🙈

Location And Makeup

The vlog starts with Alia Bhatt giving us a perfect shooting location view and that is Kashmir. She then introduces popular make-up artist Mickey Contractor who was seen doing Alia's make-up in the movie. The actor said, “We are trying a new look for the song. We are attempting a no-make-up look for a full-on romantic song.” In the video Karan Johar also mentioned the shooting location, he said, “It was a turbulent shoot. We have covered the length and breadth of Kashmir, we shot in Gulmarg, Pahalgam, and Srinagar. I combatted a viral, you (Alia) had a baby (Raha) and we tortured you in the chiffon saree. I am shooting a song like this after 17 years.”

Training Routine

During her training routine, Alia also reveals that she had to put in a lot of effort to get into the post-pregnancy mood of her character Rani. She said, “I was able to start working out six weeks postpartum. We started off very slow, and though we had a large goal to reach, we had to do it very safely.”

Shooting At Kashmir Experience

Karan Joharhad fallen ill doing the shoot and Alia and he spoke about this experience. KJo confessed he's shot for a romantic song after 17 years. Both Karan and Alia picked their favourite sarees since the song is all about chiffon sarees and the romance which lies in them. It was the multi-coloured pink and green saree, also called the Kulfi saree by Manish Malhotra, but she also liked the black saree.

Towards the end, Karan said that “How both these lead actors shot in this extreme climate, where there's also a fan blowing so that their hair can fly and they also have to look romantic and bring out those emotions. I feel we don't give enough credit to them.”

‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ stars Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in the lead roles. The movie is scheduled to release on July 28, 2023.
