Ahead of ‘Umrao Jaan's’ re-release, makers hosted a special screening event on Thursday, June 26, 2025. Among all the big stars present at the event, Alia effortlessly turned heads with her recreation of Rekha’s iconic look from Yash Chopra’s ‘Silsila’. Living her fan girl moment, Alia turned up at the event in a powder pink saree, which is a subtle and respectful nod to Rekha’s performance in the film.

Alia’s appearance in a graceful pink saree with a structured high-neck blouse looks modern yet rooted in vintage elegance. With minimalistic makeup, open hair, and statement earrings, she paid homage to the iconic look of Rekha from the 1981 film Silsila. She completed the look with matching heels and a clutch bag.
