Whether it is ‘Dream Girl’ Hemal Malini or the timeless beauty Rekha, actors around the globe have praised Aishwarya Rai Bachchan multiple times. The former Ms World has been titled the ‘Most Beautiful Woman’ by many people, and we present no argument there. But what we have grown up admiring the most is her savage self.
Rai, who has represented the country globally, has often left us in awe with her quick and witty comebacks while leaving interviewers perplexed by what just hit them.
Here is a look at the top five moments when Rai was the savage queen:
‘We Do Not Have To Take Appointments From Our Parents’

In 2005, Rai was promoting ‘Bride And Prejudice’, starring Martin Henderson, Anupam Kher, and more, in the US, when she was invited to David Letterman’s show. Letterman's name has been synonymous with Hollywood for quite a long time, and the host is known for his wit.
Taking a sly dig at Indian culture, he confirmed with Rai if she lives with her parents and asked if it was common in India for older kids to live with their family. Rai said, “It’s fine to live with your parents because it’s also common in India that we don’t have to take appointments with our parents to meet for dinner".
In the same interview, Rai also revealed that she can speak four languages - Hindi, English, Marathi, and Tulu. She also said she was able to speak broken Tamil. If this is not impressive, we don’t know what else is.
‘I Feel I Am Talking To My Gynaec’
In one of the conferences that Rai was attending abroad, an interviewer asked the actor if she would like to explore graphic scenes and nudity in her films. She politely replied that she had never done it or explored it. She also added that she was not interested in exploring ‘nudity on celluloid’.
However, the interviewer was not satisfied with the question and kept questions revolving around the same subject. The actor said, “I feel I’m talking to my gynae (gynaecologist). I mean, who am I talking to? You’re a journalist brother, stick to that.”
‘It’s Not A Frivolous Job About Vanity’

While promoting ‘Sarbjit’, an interviewer asked Rai (Aishwarya Rai Iconic Roles) how she felt seeing herself as a 60-year-old woman on the screen. The actor pointed towards the poster behind her and said, “We are professionals doing our job. I don’t think this is… I mean after so many years in the industry, you get asked this question if it is a frivolous job about vanity. No, it’s not.”
She politely said that it was not a relevant question, and as actors, it is their job to get into a character. “It is Goddess Saraswati for us,” she added.

‘Will Meet Him When I Go Home’
Many times actresses have spoken against the kind of questions they are bombarded with during interviews, especially after marriage. Rai was promoting one of her films when a media person asked her if she was missing Abhishek Bachchan.
The actor jokingly said that the interviewer just needed to ask her a question and added that she had no response to it. She also said that the interview would be over in about half an hour, and she would go home and meet her husband.
