The definition of beauty is subjective! However, according to the Golden Ratio Score study, symmetric facial features are fail-proof methods of determining beauty. The aesthetic experts at the London Facial Plastic Surgery Centre explained the Golden Ratio, which is the ultimate standard for evaluating beauty in pop culture.

According to them, to measure the golden ratio, the length and width of the face are measured and then the length is divided by the width. The ideal result should be approximately 1.62.

How Is The Golden Ratio Applied?

The golden ratio is applied to determine the most attractive facial features. Reportedly, Dr Julian De Silva elaborated, “At my clinic, we use digital mapping to examine facial elements like the eyes, lips, and nose. We then compare these elements against the Golden Ratio to assess their attractiveness. We employ software that analyzes facial photos, measuring distances between features such as the nose, eyes, and lips. These measurements are compared with the Golden Ratio to evaluate their alignment.”

She further said, typically, the technique highlights key points on a face, such as the corners of the eyes, the mouth, and the tip of the nose. The software uses these points to calculate facial proportions, which are then contrasted with the ideal proportions from the Golden Ratio.”
