1. Orange Peels For Skin

“Orange peels are a great option to get rid of pimples, blackheads, dead cells, blemishes and dark circles. It also helps dry skin stay hydrated and adds glow to your face. You can mix water and orange peel (dried and grounded) to your scalp as it helps get rid of dandruff. It is also good for reducing digestion problems,” shared Dr Grewal.

2. Mango Peels For Skin

Dr Geeta pointed out, “While mangoes are extremely delicious, their peels are highly rich in antioxidants, which helps in reducing damage caused by free radicals. Besides, it promotes weight loss, helps in digestion and is also high in fibre, which is good for heart health.”

3. Banana Peels For Skin

The expert mentioned that banana peels are believed to be rich in nutrients, carbohydrates, vitamins B6 and B12, magnesium, and potassium. “It can be used as a teeth whitener and removing acne. Just apply the peel onto the affected area for five minutes every day to get faster results. It is a good pain reliever and heals psoriasis as well - you just need to apply it to the infected area. Always use a fresh banana peel and never keep an unpeeled banana for too long as it may be harmful to health,” added Dr Geeta.

4. Pomegranate Peels For Skin

Dr Grewal mentioned, “Pomegranate peels are a rich source of vitamin C and antioxidants. It helps detoxify the body and prevent heart disease. It is also used to get relief from coughs and sore throats. You need to add ground pomegranate peel to a cup of water and gargle it - repeat this twice daily for faster results. The best part is, you can also use it as an effective skin moisturiser and a sun-block agent.”

5. Kiwi Peels For Skin

“The skin of a kiwi contains more nutrients than the fruit itself. It consists of a lot of fibre, flavonoids, antioxidants and vitamin C, which help boost immunity, heart health and lung health,” shared the expert.

6. Apples Peels For Skin

“Apple peel is a storehouse of nutrition. It contains a whole lot of proteins, vitamins and essential minerals. While vitamins A and C are excellent for the skin and eyesight, and strengthening the immunity system, the presence of iron and calcium makes it good for bones and teeth. It is also a great source of antioxidants, which helps in preventing a lot of diseases,” continued Dr Geeta Grewal.
