Colour, Highlight Your Hair With Tea Based Homemade Hair Masks

Here is how you can use different types of teas for colouring your hair.

If you want to highlight your hair at home using natural ingredients then the answer here is tea! Use different teas to make these packs and highlight and colour your hair at home.

Chamomile

You can lighten your hair gradually using chamomile. All you have to do is comb through with a homemade hair mask and make sure you are exposed to the sun a bit but not much. You will get natural-looking highlights.

Lemon Rinse Water & Chamomile

Ingredients

  • 2 chamomile tea bags
  • 15 ml of lemon juice
  • 250 ml hot water
  • A bottle for the hair mask

Method

Put the tea bags in hot boiling water for 30 minutes and let it steep and cool.

Once it cools down, pour it in a bottle and then add lemon juice.

Pout the water on clean and dry hair and sit in the sun so that your hair dries in the sun.

Do this daily until you get the colour you desire.

Black Tea Mask

This one is for black or brown hair and black tea also gives a sheen to the dull damaged hair.

Ingredients

  • 150 ml of black tea infused in water.
  • 60 ml orange powder
  • 60 ml neutral henna
  • 60 ml of Kapoor Kachli powder
  • 30 ml of coffee grounds
  • A bowl

Preparation

Take a bowl and mix in the kapoor kachli and orange powder with coffee and natural henna.

Pour the black tea and mix to make a smooth solution.

Apply it to clean, wet hair and leave it on for atleast 2. 5 hours.

Leave it on for 2 and a half hours.

Rinse and then apply a conditioner.

Air dry.

Black Tea Rinse

This will make your hair soft and prevent the frizz of your hair.

Ingredients

  • 1 black tea teabag
  • 250 ml of mineral water
  • 4 drops of coconut oil
  • A bottle

Preparation

In the boiling water infuse the tea bag for 10 minutes and let it cool.

In the bottle pour the water and keep the teabag aside.

Add the coconut oil drops and shake well.

On washed hair, massage in the water on the scalp and leave it in for 10 minutes.

Then rinse the water from the hair and do this bi-weekly.

Green Tea & Honey Mask

Ingredients

  • 40 ml of honey
  • 30 ml of green tea
  • 10 ml of olive oil
  • Lemon juice
  • Bowl

Preparation

In a bowl, mix in the infused green tea water, lemon juice, olive oil and honey.

Apply the solution to damp clean hair.

Leave on for 30 minutes and then rinse it off.

Allow the hair to dry.
