Use coloured or shimmery winged eyeliner. You can use double eyeliner too. First, apply simple black liner then use colour one on top of that. If you really want to apply eyeshadow then go for nude colours or smoke it with brown or black. Apply some highlighting shimmery colour in the centre of the eye.

Overlook

You can use any full coverage foundation this will help you to skip concealer and it will prevent to make you look cakey and heavy. Apply some soft blush and highlighter and go for a big bold bindi.

Lips always play a very important role in completing your whole look, don’t use maroon and red this time. Go for some bold colours like deep brown, burgundy to look different and attractive.

However, before you get into your vanity, we suggest you clear your skin and prep it for a natural glow and then enhance it further. Here are some tips you can try at home:

Hydrate

During Karwa Chauth, it is easy to get dehydrated, thereby making you look pale, tired and wan. Prevent this by hydrating yourself for the week before this special day. Drink at least 10 glasses of water daily, and add lemon for an extra boost of Vitamin C.

Exercise

A regular exercise regime will bring a blush to your cheeks, giving you a natural glow. This way you will also feel svelte and toned when dressing up for the day!

Avoid Scrubs

Don’t scrub your face with harsh exfoliants such as scrubs or loofahs. This can make your skin dry, red and angry, making you look less than perfect on this festive occasion. Instead, look for hydrating masks, for a glowing dewy complexion.

DIY Face Pack

If you have dry skin, then mix avocado and a little sesame oil together. Apply this mask to the face for about 30 minutes, and then wash it off. This will add the needed moisture to your skin, giving you a dewy look.

And, if your whole body is in need of a boost, then a derma-strengthened ubtan, or paste, is the way to go. Mix together besan, buttermilk and lemon juice. Apply it to your body and let it dry. Then gently rub it off in circular motions. This will help make your skin soft, smooth and with a nice glow!
