Due to climate change and global warming, heat waves arrived early this year. The temperature has already touched 50 degrees Celcius in some parts of India leaving citizens dehydrated and sick. The summer season does not only impact one’s internal health but is also harmful to your skin. During the hot months, your skin is vulnerable to dryness and tanning.

We spoke to Dr Akshay Batra, Trichologist and Managing Director at Dr Batra’s® Group of Companies to know more about this. He mentioned, “According to the American Academy of Dermatology, Gen Z adults within the age bracket of 18-26 are at high risk for developing skin cancer due to increasing rates of skin tanning and burning.” Check out these tips advised by him to make your skin summer-ready.

How To Keep Skin Hydrated In Summer?

Sun protection

Our expert says, “Harmful UV rays can have adverse effects on our skin. Excessive sun exposure causes wrinkles, dark spots, and other skin issues.” You must not skip using sunscreen even on cloudy days. Choose one with SPF 30 or above as it protects you from 97% UV rays.
