To achieve this, combine one tablespoon of raw honey with one tablespoon of finely ground oatmeal. Preferably wear a thin coating of this mix before going to bed, this enables you to wash it off the next morning, and as such, allows your skin to remain soft and calm.”

2. Aloe Vera and Cucumber Gel

“It is well known that aloe vera has anti-inflammatory properties when mixed with fresh cucumber gel which when blended would give a cooler and hydrated effect to the skin. Apply the paste onto your face evenly and sleep with it on and when you wake up you will find that your skin will feel more rejuvenated,” shared the expert.

3.Banana and Yoghurt Face Mask

Ms Lalita shared, “Virtually every skin benefits from bananas as they contain almost all of the natural vitamins and minerals we need and when paired with yoghurt, which is ingested with probiotics, the combination is a treat for the skin. Take half a banana, mash it and combine it with one tablespoon of plain yoghurt. Apply on sensitive skin overnight, and the skin will be well-nourished and brightened.”

"It's smart to be cautious so before using the DIY overnight masks it is advisable to do a small test patch. Furthermore, experts recommend applying them only two or three times a week to prevent skin irritation.
