Dealing with oily skin, especially during the monsoon months, can be a challenge. Excess oil production can lead to a shiny T-zone, clogged pores, and acne breakouts. Fortunately, a simple, natural remedy using two common kitchen ingredients, orange and curd, can be a game-changer.

Wondering how to get glowing skin naturally at home? Your searches end here! Here is a simple DIY orange and curd face mask for oily skin.

Ingredients

  • One tablespoon orange peel powder
  • One tablespoon plain curd
  • Half a tablespoon of gram flour

Procedure

  • In a clean bowl, combine the orange peel powder and plain curd. If you're including gram flour for deeper cleansing, add it now.
  • Stir everything well until you have a smooth, consistent paste. It should be thick enough to apply without dripping.
  • Before applying the mask, gently cleanse your face and neck with a mild cleanser suitable for oily skin. Pat your skin dry. This ensures your skin is prepped to absorb the mask's benefits.
  • Using clean fingers or a flat brush, apply an even layer of the paste all over your face and neck, carefully avoiding the delicate eye and lip areas.
  • Leave the mask on for 15-20 minutes, or until it starts to feel slightly dry. Once the time is up, wet your hands and gently massage your skin in circular motions as you rinse.
  • Gently pat your skin dry with a soft, clean towel and follow up immediately with a lightweight moisturiser to lock in hydration.
  • For best results, use the face mask once or twice a week to see the visible changes.
