Steps To Make DIY Oatmeal Face Scrub

  1. Take 1/2 cup of oats and blend them in a food processor until they're finely ground. If you prefer a stronger exfoliant, you can leave the oats a bit chunky, or grind them finer for a gentler scrub.
  2. Add a small amount of water and almond oil to the oats, about 1/2 teaspoon each, and blend until you get a paste-like consistency. You can adjust the amount of liquid as needed to achieve the right texture.
  3. You can also customize your scrub by adding honey, sugar, or milk. If you add milk, use the scrub right away and store any leftovers in the fridge for a day or two, as milk can spoil. Milk itself is a gentle exfoliator, honey has antibacterial properties that can help with acne-prone skin, and sugar is a gentle exfoliant that can help remove dead skin cells.
  4. Once you've made your oatmeal scrub, store it in a glass jar for later use.
  5. To use the scrub, wet your face and gently massage it in. You can also use this scrub on your body, not just your face.
  6. Rinse your face thoroughly, then apply your regular moisturiser as you normally would.
